Cyberbullying

In PTC 629, this week’s topic is about bullying. A quick Google search shows that cyberbullying and anti bullying is also being marketed via clothing. It looks so far fetched. It reminds me that people use clothing as a form of expression. For example, when people marry, they wear wedding attire (suited to the culture). Or if people are part of an organization (law enforcement, for example) they try to separate from regular people by wearing uniforms. So it seems like anti bully people want to bring awareness by creating clothing articles that say “Stop bullying” or “Acceptance”. But I think that such choices are ineffectual. One thing is certain: internet and social media are useful for bringing awareness to these topics. This also relates to MeToo movement, BLM, and other contemporary social movements.

Apparently, Twitter sells this too. Is Twitter inside on the cyberbullying campaign? Trying to leverage itself as a sales driven social media site (similar to Facebook or Instagram)?

Are hipsters independent thinkers?

In week 6, I ran across an article titled "The Hipster's Movement" with no author. The link is here: https://harvardpolitics.com/hipster...
